Chinese Specialist in Lithium-Ion Batteries
For the first time in the 22 years of Taipei Cycle’s history, representatives from companies from mainland China visited the show this year. Among them were Vice General manager Tony Feng and Director Overseas Division Andrew Lee from Suzhou Phylion Battery Company Ltd.
As the worldwide e-Bike market continues to grow, so does the need for a specialized, big, reliable battery supplier that provides the latest battery technology for e-Bikes. And that’s just what Phylion is all about.
The production of batteries for e-Bikes is being expanded as the worldwide market for the electric bicycles grows. The current production of 12,000 lithium-ion battery packs is to grow to 20,000 by the end of this year. By the way, all these batteries comply with UL 1642 certification; the standard set by extra energy.
Phylion is also preparing to comply with the new EPAC 15194 standard that came into force in 30 European countries including Iceland.
For e-Bikes Phylion offers a wide range of lithium-ion battery packs with nominal voltage ranging from 12.0V to 48.0 V. Nominal capacity varies from 5 to 9.5 Ah while nominal discharge current stands at 10A. Every Phylion battery has a minimum cycle life of 500 charges.
Ford and VW are among the company’s customers for batteries for heavy electric motor vehicles while Dahon, Prophete and Easy Bike are among the current customers for electric bike batteries. But that’s about to change as Tony Feng and Andrew Lee state that it is Phylion’s target to become one of the main lithium battery suppliers to electric bike makers in Europe.
