Fast Forward Wheels Easy To Service
To easy servicing, Fast Forward wheels do always have the spoke nipples on the outside of the rim. To maintain a high level of quality all spoked wheels are laced and built in the Netherlands were Fast Forward Wheels is located.
All rims used are made of high tensile TC35 carbon and have decals under the clear coat. In general there are three hub options for most wheels: one Fast Forward private label and two DT versions, the DT240s and the DT190 with ceramic bearings.
Fast Forward has a wide range of wheel sets for all types of racing including tubular and clincher versions for road race. This year, Fast Forward Wheels launched the ‘Control’ category indicated with a ‘C’ in the product name instead of the standard ‘R’. These wheels have four additional spokes in the front wheel as well as in the rear wheel. The standard Fast Forward Wheels uses are 20 spokes in the front and 24 spokes in the rear.
The Control versions are recommended for people weighing 90-95 kilograms or more. The additional spokes create rigidity and stiffness to carry the more than average weight of the rider. This feature makes these wheels also suitable for cyclocross in some cases as well.
At Eurobike Fast Forward Wheels also introduced its new Darc technology to improve the aerodynamics. The 90 millimetre deep carbon rims have a double arc that compresses air for a better airflow causing less drag like on an airfoil. These wheels are used for triathlon and time trials as well as road races.
