SRAM has extended its wheel range for 2010 with three completely new aluminium models covering three different price points. These are the S27 AL Comp, the S30 AL Sprint, and the S30 AL Race.

The new SRAM wheels use either a 27 millimetres or 30 millimetres deep aluminium rim for strength and versatility. All wheels benefit from the latest technologies to achieve the highest level of performance and efficiency: specific rear wheel lacing to create optimal power transfer, oversize alloy axle and optimized bearing position to increase stiffness, a high quality cartridge bearings and high end ratchet system.

The S27 AL Comp features a traditional 27 millimetres rim with external nipples combined with the high end hubs and the same bearing used on the S30 AL model. The S27 AL Comp weight just 1620 grams and is part of segment of reliable training wheels.

The S30 AL Sprint uses a 30 millimetres deep rim with a patented hybrid toroidal shape combining aerodynamics and lightweight. The S30 AL Race is set at the top end of the range. It weights just 1430 grams, has a hybrid toroidal rim, SAPIM CX Rays spokes, aluminium internal nipples, and a very high end polished Black Diamond finish. All SRAM aluminium wheels are available as clincher model.
