The Ultra Tour 2 XC Lux tyre is Nokian’s answer for the rapidly growing e-Bike market. The heavy duty double casing makes the Ultra Tour 2 XC Lux most suitable for e-Bike use and is available in the sizes 40-622 and 47-559. The double casing is designed for heavy duty touring tyres.
Nokian claims an excellent puncture resistance due to six cord layers under the tread and four layers on the sidewall. The additional layers present a relatively low rolling resistance compared with the ‘thick rubber’ anti puncture tyres. Therefore the Ultra Tour 2 XC Lux comes with one year warranty against punctures.
The Ultra Tour 2 also features a ‘Driving Safety Indicator’ (DSI). Numbers placed in the centre tread present an indication of the profile thickness. Numbers will disappear one at a time at the same tempo as tyre will wear out. The DSI-safety indicator makes the tyre wear control much easier. Nokian suggests replacing the tyre when the profile is one millimetre.
