At last year’s EICMA, the prestigious motocycle show that took place end of November the unveiling of the new Ducati e-Bikes by Italwin took place. A feat that didn’t go unnoticed.

Recently the first models went on sale in Italy through a selected network of retailers in the bike sector and via a selection of Ducati motorcycle stores. With that Italwin is also starting the worldwide distribution and is looking for distributors for numerous countries.

For the Ducati electric bicycles two Italian companies, respectively leaders in their field, joined forces. The two companies are Ducati Motor Holding and Italwin Group who signed a three-year licensing agreement. This resulted in the introduction of the Ducati City Pearl e-Bike which was presented at the September 2009 Eurobike Show.

Since then the Italwin designers and the Ducati Design Centre have been active in further expanding the Ducati e-Bike line-up. This has resulted in the Ducati Cucciolo which is named after the 1st Ducati motorbike. The Ducati Cucciolo e-Bike by Italwin has an aluminum frame with an integrated rear carrier that holds the battery. The styling of the bike is retro or vintage with its Brooks handmade saddle.
