The NexxtDrive electric propulsion system for bicycles is a step-less drive for pedal or electric input, or in any combination.  It is light, compact and powerful, with very high efficiency. It provides full electric braking and energy recuperation. Its patented “Power Combining” system consists of 2 interacting electric motors, combining the mechanical and electrical inputs through a compact CVT. All the required components are integrated into this compact unit.

There are either right wheel hub mounted or centre hub mounted versions. Both variants can provide: high wheel torque capacity with 30% hill climb capability; excellent braking energy recuperation; speed up to 50 km/h (or lower restriction if required); many control variants can be offered through the control software; exceptionally light at 2.5 kg it also replaces the conventional gears, dynamo, rear brake and crank torque sensor; compact design for fixed frame with up to 112 Nm torque; ultra-compact version, at 51mm by 116mm diameter, with 60 Nm Torque, can fit into a folding bike. Resulting bikes can be lighter and highly cost-competitive.

Fully patent protected, including control systems. NexxtDrive welcomes licensing discussions for this system. The company has also developed a similar system suited for e-Scooters and other Light Electric Vehicles.
