The new 695 racing frame will be the eye catcher at the Look booth during Eurobike. Company spokesman Arthur Espos has high expectations of this innovative frame. “It’s the result of out of the box thinking.”

The race frame was developed in close collaboration with the Cofidis Pro team and was used during this year’s Tour de France. There will be two versions available: the SR 695 (super-rigid) aimed at maximizing performance and energy transfer, while the regular 695 has 15% less stiffness providing more comfort while maintaining a high level of performance.

Look claims that the frame weights just 900 grams. The different levels of rigidity have been achieved by changing the carbon lay-up. The two frames look identical and have a fully integrated seatpost, featuring an adjustable carbon fiber construction (between -9 degrees to +13 degrees) and an oversized bottom bracket (BB65) fitting the ZED-2 crank set. The crank arms, axe and sprockets of the ZED-2 have been made out of one peace of carbon.

According Arthur Epos both frames will be sold for the same retail price, which will be around € 4000, -. It is expected that Look will take advantage of the rising popularity of road race cycling. On Look’s home market France road race cycling has always been popular but this segment is also growing on Look’s export markets. The Look 695 will be available for the 2011 season.
