Introducing the Gucci bicycle...

Gucci has launched two exclusive Bianchi by Gucci bicycles designed by the brand’s Creative Director, Frida Giannini.

The white, hydro-formed steel single speed bike sells for over euro 4,000. For those how are not just riding a Gucci bike but made a clear image statement will be interested in the matte black carbon fiber monocoque model at the steeper price.

Speaking about designs, Giannini said, “The Bianchi by Gucci bicycles perfectly carry forward our codes of luxury while creating a new cosmopolitan aesthetic for those looking to turn heads while on the go.” It is truly the ultimate way to travel in style.

The Gucci bikes feature a black carbon fiber frame with green/red/green web detail, a black seat and handlebars recalling the iconic diamante pattern, ‘bianchi by gucci’ logo featured on seat and frame, hydraulic disk breaks and double sided pedals are suitable for toe clips and regular shoes.

I turn plenty of heads with my Xootr Swift. And only around $800. Built like a tank, at 22# it's faster than greased lightning with 100psi 20-in tyres. I question as to how popular regressing from aluminum back to steel will be. Time will only tell. But, then, hey--it's a Gucci.
