Walmart Tries to Conquer Russia Again

 

MOSCOW, Russia – After closing the doors of its HQ in Moscow last December; Walmart announced that it is making a second attempt to conquer the Russian market. For that the retail giant hired the supermarket executive who managed to drive Walmart out of the Russian market.

Walmart has appointed Lev Khasis as senior vice-president of its Russian operations. Khasis comes from X5, Walmarkt main competitor in Russia and the man responsible for blocking the ambitions of the US retail giant in Russia.

Many international operating retailers regard the Russian market as to big to disregard. Walmart is no exception to this. The retail giant is one of the major bike sellers on its home market as well as in many other markets in the world.
