Sigma Sport Integrates GPS in Cycling Computer
NEUSTADT, Germany – Sigma Sport gave a new dimension to bike computers with the addition of a GPS receiver. GPS on a bicycle is not new, but Sigma Sport put it all together in a regular sized bike computer.
Together with five navigation functions, nine bike, nine heart rate, eight performance, five altitude measurement, and various other functions, the Rox 10.0 GPS is a real onboard computer and the perfect companion for the professionally training athlete.
The PC interface and the comprehensive analysis and planning modules of the Data Center 3, including the integrated maps, leave little to be desired for analyzing and planning of training and routes. The ROX 10.0 GPS stores all data, such as location, altitude, speed, distance, cadence, time, temperature, incline, and performance with an accuracy of up to one second.
The five navigation functions and graph-based presentation of the track progress on the clean display provide reliable guidance. A new feature is the compatibility with various performance measurement systems of Sigma Sport.
The map function is specifically adapted to the needs of bikers. Contour lines and shading are used to estimate the elevation profile; bike paths are highlighted as well. Open Street Map, the free world map system, which, much like Wikipedia, is improved by users every single day, acts as the basis for the globally available map.
