XTR Di2 Heralds Electronic Components Integration
SCOTTS VALLEY, USA – The next generation of the Fox’s electronic suspension is fully integrated with Shimano’s latest electronic groupset XTR Di2 introduced last spring.
With the XTR Di2 Shimano took the long awaited step of introducing electronic shifting for the MTB market. The next big improvement is the integration of the Shimano XTR Di2 with other components and Fox is the first leading name to step in.
Fox iCTD technology
The Fox iCTD technology is integrated in the Float forks (32 Series) and shocks, and in many ways works like the previous version. iCTD now works with CTD damper and allows the on-the-fly selection of one of the three modes (Climb, Trail, Descend), on both rear and frond end of the bicycle.
In the past Fox was already using the Shimano Di2 battery initially developed for road race. The important upgrade lies in the complete integration of the both systems. As a result only one battery is used for both suspension and drivetrain, and XTR Di2’s displays also shows the suspension mode.
