SRAM Truvativ Launches New Descendant Series
CHICAGO, USA – Guided by input from talented riders in Enduro and Gravity, Truvativ developed an all new range of components, the Descendant. According to Truvativ it meets “the highest levels in performance, durability, affordability and style.”
The Descendant series includes a full range of cranksets, handlebars, seatposts and a stem. The crankset comes in three models, the forged aluminium one with direct mount rings and a 1x SRAM X-SYNC tooth profile. The carbon version features a proprietary Truvativ carbon construction process that delivers a crankset light enough for XC, yet bold and badass enough for Enduro. Finally the downhill which is a “blend of experience in countless DH podiums, big mountain competitions and film sessions,” as Truvativ describes it.
Stiff, tough and dependable
The new Descendant flat bar is based on the width of Enduro superstar Jerome Clementz, the Descendant carbon and 7050 flat bar which should bring comfort and control. The riser bar combines a proven shape, proven width, and proven materials. Truvativ claims they are “stiff, tough, dependable, and give you comfort and positive steering feel.” The Descendant bar also comes in a downhill version.
The Descendant seatpost comes in a standard and a downhill version. Both are 3D forged and highly adjustable. The Descendant range is completed by the 3D forged stem, made of 7050 alloy.
