Accell: New Online Ordering System

HEERENVEEN, The Netherlands – Accell Group recently started operations of a new online ordering system for its dealers called Accentry. The Dutch bike makers Batavus, Sparta, Koga-Miyata and Loekie are now using the system that dealers are able to consult for the real time stock in bikes and P&A and for placing their orders.

Later this year also all other Accell Group subsidiaries (Winora, Hercules, Tunturi, and Lapierre) as well as Dutch wholesaler Juncker will switch to the online ordering system. Accell’s fitness activities are not yet integrated in Accentry.
Accell Group has a background in online ordering systems for dealers as it used to work in the nineties with among others ‘Batacom’. In favour of a more nation wide system, Accell stopped with Batacom. Now the company is back where it started, as interest and usage of the current TIS ordering system in Holland, is fading. At the Dutch ‘FietsVak’ show that will take place in Rosmalen from January 28 – 30, 2007 the new online system will be launched on a separate Accentry stand. The reason for that is in the fact that Accell wants Accentry to be multifunctional and invites other bike suppliers in Holland and in other countries to join their online ordering platform.
