Construction of New Halls Started in Friedrichshafen

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – The construction work for the new halls has started next to the existing fair ground in Friedrichshafen. The new halls will be ready by autumn 2008, while the additional access roads, parking lots and fair entrance will be finalised in 2009.

The Eurobike will have to wait until 2009 before it can take advantage of the new halls and infrastructure. The new roads will improve access to the fair ground from the north and will give easy entrance from Meckenbeuren, Ravensburg and Ulm.

The two new halls A7 and B5, will each measure 6,300 square meters together with new conference rooms. “This expansion is demanded by our three main fairs which take place in Friedrichshafen, Eurobike, Fakuma and OutDoor”, says Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann. “All three have grown substantially since we put the new exhibition halls in use.”
