Dahon Takes Green Steps For Taipei Cycle

TAIPEI, Taiwan – Dahon announced plans to maximize the use of re-usable materials in its booth design and efforts to lower the carbon footprint of show goers at this year’s 2008 Taipei Cycle Show. Dahon’s booth at this year’s show will be made up primarily of materials that will be reusable in an effort to reduce waste.

In addition, Dahon has chartered a “Last Mile” bus to provide transport for all show-goers from the nearest mass-transit stop to the show grounds, in an effort to reduce the number of individual taxi trips taken by show-goers.

“We all, as individuals and companies, need to step up and reduce our environmental impact on the planet,” stated Dr. David Hon, Dahon founder and CEO. “Small steps, like those we are taking for the Taipei Cycle Show, multiplied across billions of people, millions of companies, and over many years, will make a big difference. There are lots of companies in the bike industry doing great things and we want to do our part.”

For those that are planning on riding a Dahon folding bicycle to the show, Dahon will also be providing free, secured bicycle parking for Dahon bikes, in conjunction with their local Taiwan distributor. Anyone riding a Dahon bicycle is free to park in this area, provided space is available.

The Dahon booth at the show will also feature a Coffee Bar with freshly brewed coffee and free Wi-Fi to check the latest news on http://www.bike-eu.com
