Five More Years for Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Wellmann

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – The contract of Messe Friedrichshafen with its CEO Klaus Wellmann (47) has been extended up to early 2018. Klaus Wellman still had a contract with Messe Friedrichshafen to 2013 but: “We wanted to show a sign of continuity for the future with the early contract renewal”, said Andreas Brand, Mayor of the City of Friedrichshafen and chairman of the Supervisory Board of Messe Friedrichshafen.

“We not only want to confirm our satisfaction with the results of Klaus Wellman’s work and his team but also show a reliable long term perspective for the future of the trade fair location in Friedrichshafen to all our partners, exhibitors and visitors.”

“Trade show strategy takes a long term approach with dedicated project and department management headed by a CEO who is a valuable contact for our customers”, stated Mayor Andreas Brand’s explaining the board’s decision to renew Wellman’s contract.

“I am very pleased with this decision, which clearly shows that the team is working successfully as well as reliably and is equipped for the future. Personally I have found my home on Lake Constance”, stated Klaus Wellmann, who came to Messe Friedrichshafen in April 2006. At that time the 47-year-old business graduate came from the Cologne Messe to Lake Constance.
