Poland’s Kielce Bike Expo in October
After the ups and downs of some Polish cycle shows, the situation is clearer now. Since 2010 Kielce Bike Expo has emerged as Poland’s largest event dedicated to bicycles. It’s a business-to-business event, focused on a targeted audience – cycle manufacturers, dealers, retailers, service and maintenance shops, and also to parts and clothing manufacturers.
The event is organized in cooperation with Polish Bicycle Association. Among the official supporters of the event are the European Cyclists Union, National Road Safety Council, Ministry of Sport, Ministry of Infrastructure, and Polish Olympic Committee. In the past two years, the event grew into one of most important bicycle events in Central and Eastern Europe.
The second edition in 2011 of the International Fair of Bicycle Industry brought together 120 exhibitors from eight countries. Last year over 400 brands of the bicycle sector presented their offerings in Kielce Show and occupied three halls. The Bike marathon Finals, the last phase of the oldest and largest bike marathon in Poland, accompanied the fair. The event attracted 1,200 cyclists from all over the country.
Array of events
Kielce Bike Expo 2011 was attended by almost 5,000 visitors, an increase of over 60% compared with the 2010 edition. Among them were representatives of over 1,000 shops and wholesalers, in addition to the business-associated companies attending the exhibition. The exhibition was accompanied by the whole array of events, including the world premiere of the new BMX Diamondback 2012 bicycle collection.
Out-of-the-box bicycle solutions
Electric bicycles and out-of-the-box bicycle solutions generated a substantial interest among the trade fair visitors; the visitors also had a chance to ride them in a special testing zone. The bicycle sector trade fair Kielce Bike Expo was also a platform for discussions and ideas exchange regarding the further development of the bicycle sector in Poland. The third International Fair of Bicycle Industry will be held on October 2 to 4, 2012.
