The new Directive on Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment now also includes electric bicycles (Jean-Pol Wiaux)

09.00: ADFC Tech Talk
Mandatory labeling for bicycles and pedelecs – the less well-known world of standards and legislation. The new German Equipment and Product Safety Act (ProdSG) took effect on December 1st, 2011 and requires manufacturers to provide their name and address as well as clear identification markings on their products. Pedelecs also require a CE marking.

Can e-biking really keep you fit? Tune in to this discussion for the answer and to learn how to best enjoy the healthy sport of healthy e-biking. Emphasizing fitness and safety are two outstanding ways for specialty retailers to acquire and retain customer

Also this year the fashion show is expected to attract crowds. In Foyer East at the show podium the fashion show with the latest in bike and eye-wear will take place 3 times per day.

14:00 – 15:00 VSF-Paul Lange & Co.: Lobbying for cyclists
It goes without saying that the bicycle is heading the trend toward economical and environmentally-friendly transportation. Not only does cycling reduce traffic jams and exhaust emissions in cities, but also promotes a healthy lifestyle. Speakers: Albert Herresthal, VSF und Konrad Weymann, Paul Lange & Co.

16:00 – 17:30 Cycling Industry Club/ECF: The Advocay Summit
The Advocacy Summit will feature presentations on how advocacy and industry groups can increase cycling, boost sales and gain access to 6 billion euro of EU funding. The event is organized by the Cycling Industry Club, ECF and Germany’s ADFC, and supported by media partner Bike Europe.

18:00 – 18:30 Eurobike Lake Jump
Acrobatic Jumps into Trade Fair Lake

18:30: Group Ride Rapha Evening Invitational
EUROBIKE and the renowned British cycling apparel brand Rapha invite you to take part in a group ride on Wednesday and Thursday. There will be a limited number of FOCUS road bikes for use.

All day: Special show EUROBIKE VISION
In Foyer West the special show EUROBIKE Vision looks at the very limits of what is possible in aerodynamic bicycle construction. This special show is rounded off with a book presentation with the focus on special bikes.

All Day: EUROBIKE AWARD
The EUROBIKE is the trade show for new products. The EUROBIKE AWARD is the highest award for innovations in the world of bicycles. Functionality, design and innovative features are all included in the evaluation. The award is held in cooperation with iF Design.
