4th Cambodian Factory Presented at Taipei Cycle

TAIPEI, Taiwan – The company that is behind Tunisia based Mui is opening the 4th Cambodia based bike making facility. Cronus Sports Science & Technology Co. Ltd. is the owner of Mui and a new facility in Cambodia that probably will be named Leader.

The Cambodian produced bicycles can be exported to Europe completely duty free.

A spokesman of Cronus Sports Science & Technology Co. Ltd. said at Taipei Cycle that the opening of the new factory in Cambodian will have no consequences for Mui Tunesia.

This facility will continue its operations in, in particular, steel framed bikes. The Cambodia facility will concentrate on making alloy high end bicycles. Leader International Cambodia will probably be the name of the facility. The company name still has to be officially registered.

Production starts in April

William Deng, CEO of Cronus Sports Science & Technology Co. Ltd., plans to start production in Cambodia next April. The factory will include alloy frame making, automated wheelbuilding as well as a paint facility. Production capacity is about 300,000 units annually.

Total production for 2013 is planned for about 100,000 units. The company will produce high-end MTB’s, road racers as well as city bikes. Under the European Union’s GSP regulations the Cambodian produced bicycles can be exported to Europe completely duty free.
