Spanish Shows Unite in New Event: UNIBIKE
MADRID, Spain – It is called “UNIBIKE, The Bicycle Trade Show” and its 1st edition is to take place 19 – 21 September 2014. This new event replaces Festibike and Expobike; the two shows that took place during the same weekend in Madrid in the last two years.
UNIBIKE became possible after Festibike, Expobike signed an agreement with trade fair organizer IFEMA and Spain’s industry association AMBE. It ends the senseless situation of having two bike shows taking place in Madrid during the same weekend.
Agreement with IFEMA
After 5 months of negotiations, promoted by the Spanish Brands and Bicycle Association AMBE that represents the main bike companies in Spain as well as the importers of the renowned global operating brands, Festibike and Expobike organizers reached an agreement to join forces with IFEMA. This is the Trade Fair Institution of Madrid whose 30-year experience of staging trade fairs has made it the most important of its kind in Spain.
For professionals and enthusiasts
UNIBIKE brings together the four organizations in the only Bicycle Trade Show in Madrid and is to combine an exhibition with many activities for bike professionals as well as bike enthusiasts. UNIBIKE offers Spain’s bicycle industry a platform for showing the latest innovations in technology and design and is targeting also South-American customers, professionals and journalists. The show must become Spain’s reference in the international bike market.
On Friday 19 September UNIBIKE opens its doors for professional visitors only. The general public is welcome on Saturday and Sunday. UNIBIKE is organized by IFEMA and AMBE. IFEMA’s 30-year experience of staging trade fairs will represent an important asset to build a meeting and business place for the bicycle industry with AMBE’s support.
