Italian Show Scene in Turmoil
ROME, Italy – The team responsible for making ExpoBici the number one trade show in Italy during the past 7 years moved to Veronafiere. And is starting a new bike show there called CosmoBike. It is scheduled to take place 11-14 September 2015; one week before ExpoBici.
The presentation of the international trade fair, CosmoBike Show, by Veronafiere which is to take place in the city of Verona next September 2015 is creating a new dynamic on the Italian market.
With CosmoBike, “Veronafiere aims to support the world of cycling in the same way as successful events in many other sectors, both nationally and internationally,” said Ettore Riello, President of Veronafiere. “The heritage of Italian bicycles deserves more promotion as Made in Italy products in line with the rhythms of fashion, innovation and design that identify Italian Style all over the world. Our bicycle industry is made up of many different brands and in that case a trade show is an ideal tool to promote the potential of the business.”
CEO & Director General of Veronafiere, Giovanni Mantovani, “The new project will have an international scope right from the first edition and will get in touch with all players and stakeholders in the sector, including associations, to encourage the use of bicycles in everyday life as well as for leisure.”
“CosmoBike show,” explains Paolo Coin, who used to manage ExpoBici and who is the creator of the new CosmoBike Show, “will highlight the ongoing evolution of the bicycle, including materials and production technologies, that the Italian and international market has to offer. The exhibition will also host specific focus meetings dedicated to, among other things: urban cycling; development of e-bikes; bike tourism and distribution networks. The event will offer ample space for company training initiatives.”
September show schedule
The CosmoBike Show takes place two weeks after Eurobike; from September 11 to 14, 2015 and is followed one week later by Interbike (16 – 18 September). ExpoBici is taking place from September 18 to 21; so partly simultaneously with Interbike.
