Intermot Puts E-Bikes on Centre Stage
COLOGNE, Germany – From October 1 – 5 the Cologne fair will open its doors for Intermot, the International Motorcycle, Scooter and E-Bike Fair. Though in the majority of the halls the newest motorcycles will be on display, the importance of e-bikes is growing.
Sceptics of Light Electric Vehicles (LEVs), including e-bikes, can convince themselves of the advantages of electric mobility on the LEV/Electrical test track stretching out over almost one kilometer on the fair ground. Among the new exhibitors in the e-motion area of Intermot are well known companies like ZEG, Giant, Stromer and Polaris.
Also even outside of the e-motion range the issue of ‘electric drive’ is echoed and manufacturers, such as BMW, will show their models at its main stand.
The ExtraEnergy e. V. will organize a competition for the best Pedelec concepts. These projects will be introduced on 2 October 2014 as part of the LEV Conference organized by ExtraEnergy e.V.
‘E-bike wheel club’
The ‘E-bike wheel club’ will stage a professional supporting programme which highlight a wide range of issues on this subject, like engine systems up to future prospects. Experts will be on stage to answer all questions on the subject of e-bike.
The Intermot Cologne will be open 1 to 5 October 2014 from 09:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. On October 3 the door will be open till 08:00 p.m. On 1 October, trade day will be held for the first time. The ticket quota for this is limited. On the trade day no active outdoor program takes place.
