Asia Bicycle Alliance To Be Founded at Next Week’s China Cycle

SHANGHAI, China – Preparation started already last October in Kunshan, China when Asian business leaders and officials of industry associations met for the first time. Next Tuesday, one day before the opening of the China Cycle Show, the Asia Bicycle Alliance will be installed officially.

Initiated by President Ma of the China Bicycle Association the Asia Bicycle Alliance objectives are to work together for the prosperity of the industry in Asia and its markets as well as to promote a cycling culture in various nations.

Keynote speakers at the founding conference are:

  • Antony Lo, Chairman, Taiwan Bicycle Association
  • Yuzuru Takahashi, Senior Managing Director, Japan Bicycle Association
  • Pankaj Munjal, Vice President of All India Cycle Manufacturers Association
  • Ma Zhongchao, President, China Bicycle Association

The Asia Bicycle Alliance is supported by industry organization of many different Asian countries including the China Bicycle Association, Taiwan Bicycle Association, Japan Bicycle Association, All India Cycle Manufacturers Association, Korea Bicycle Industrial Association, Turkey Bicycle Industry Association, Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines, Association of Indonesian Bicycles Industries and Vietnam Auto Motorcycle & Bicycle Association.

Bike Europe will join the founding conference of the Asia Bicycle Alliance as well as the 25th China Cycle Show next week in Shanghai. Bike Europe’s booth number is Hall 3 A0600. International visitors are welcomed to pick up a complimentary copy of Bike Europe.

The editorial team is looking forward to meet you and talk about the latest trends in bicycles and the business of cycling. The China Cycle covering 140,000 square meters will take place from May 6 – 9, 2015 in the new National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai.
