ZEG Show Previews Eurobike
COLOGNE, Germany – The annual show of the biggest dealer cooperative in Europe, ZEG, which took place July 17 – 20, is not only an important order event for the affiliated retailers but it is also the first trade show on the European continent for model year 2016. With that it’s THE indicator for new bike trends.
The e-MTB is the leading eye-catcher for next year. Notwithstanding the relatively small sales volumes sold this season, OEMs hold high expectations for model year 2016.
Besides ZEG’s own labels Bulls, Pegasus and Zemo, also Focus, Scott and KTM presented a full line-up of e-MTBs at this show. Some others revealed only some details like Stromer and Gazelle.
Despite already shown by Bike Europe and announced by Accell Group; the holdings company’s in cooperation with Yamaha developed mid-motor system was not on the ZEG show floor. Trade visitors have to wait to Eurobike to see this mid-motor system launched for MY 2016 by the biggest e-bike seller in Europe.
