Is Giant the Next Big Player to Skip Eurobike?
FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – Giant’s biggest boss didn’t make it entirely clear, but indicated that there’s ample chance that the world’s biggest bike brand will not be at Eurobike 2017.
Giant Global Group President Tony Lo said, “We are here for meeting in particular dealers from the German speaking countries. Less of them are here; their participation dropped heavily. This affects our show results. We are not here to meet agents and other international business associates. We also meet them also at other events and do not have to go to Eurobike for that.”
Return on investment
Whether or not Giant will be at Eurobike 2017 looks to be merely a question of return on investment. And probably also on the overall financial situation which is not looking all that good as the Giant’s 2015 financial report showed a sales drop due to the depressed state of the US and Chinese markets.
How many fewer German speaking dealers were at Eurobike this year is not specified in the final show report.
