Taipei Cycle Show and TaiSPO Split in 2018
TAIPEI, Taiwan – The re-scheduling of the Taipei Cycle Show in 2018 leads to a split with TaiSPO; the sporting goods show that up to this year was held simultaneously. With Taipei Cycle moving its dates to October 31 – November 3, 2018 the TaiSPO show remains in March.
Following a comprehensive industry survey, Taipei Cycle has decided to move its event date end October – beginning November. This now leads to a break with TaiSPO. For the first time since 2011 TaiSPO and Taipei Cycle will being held separately next year.
Evolution and transformation Taipei Cycle Show
A press release by TAITRA, organizer of the two shows, notes “The bicycle industry has undergone an evolution and transformation towards digitalization. Digital bikes will undoubtedly a big trend in the future and therefore there is an increased need for smart devices. Trailblazing these trends, Taipei Cycle 2018 will highlight e-devices and present a brand new IoT zone. Designers and manufacturers are encouraged to showcase their latest IoT applications. We also welcome companies established after January 1, 2013 to present their innovations at the Startup Pavilion. Both pavilions will be housed in TWTC Hall 3.”
TaiSPO 2018 edition
On the TaiSPO show organizer TAITRA says “TaiSPO will continue to focus on fitness, camping, outdoor, and water sports equipment, as well as sportswear. More recently, wearable training devices have become a trend in the fitness and sport industry. TaiSPO 2018 will host the “IoT/Wearables Zone”, displaying wearable and handheld devices. TaiSPO is anticipating training program exhibits and personal training classes in the new “Training Programs Zone”. The 2018 edition of TaiSPO is scheduled for March 8-10 at its usual venue, the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Hall 1 & 3.”
