Spanish Industry Show Integrates Trade and Consumers
MADRID, Spain – A new name, another location and a different format should create the right balance between a professional fair and an end-consumer event. The name of this new event is ‘Webike’ and is organized by Spain’s industry association AMBE.
The first edition of this show will take place from 7 to 9 September in Madrid’s Casa de Campo Park. After four years in the city’ congress centre IFEMA, Spain’s industry association AMBE decided to create a new event. “We wanted a more bike friendly environment and joining forces with the event organizer, LAST LAP who developed a the new concept with more dynamic and more interaction without losing the professional focus of the show,” as AMBE reported.
New dates and new location
“Together with our show commission we concluded that the time had come to take the next step in the development of combining a professional trade show and an end-consumer event, while relocating the fair to a more cycling friendly environment within the city of Madrid,” says Carlos Nuñez, Secretary-General of AMBE.
Next to the presentation of the latest innovations in the market at the professional trade show, Webike will contain a weekend full of activities for all bike lovers such as guided mountain bike tours, a road cyclist ride, Fixie Criterium, a cyclo-cross ride, Triathlon Cross, MTB, Road, Urban and e-bikes demo test and many other cycling activities.
World Cup location
The rides will be hosted in Casa de Campo, the most important public park in Madrid where the World Cup MTB Championship took place a few years ago. The trade show will be organized in the Crystal Palace fairground also located in Casa de Campo. Read the latest information on Webike.
