Specialized and Maxxis Join New Impact Media Summit
KETCHUM, US – The announcement of two leading brands to attend Impact gave the new US bicycle media event a major boost. Impact is a series of events providing brands the opportunity to interact one-on-one with media created by Scott Montgomery and Adrian Montgomery.
Specialized is topic sponsor for the e-MTB Panel at People for Bikes Draft Meetup and guided e-MTB experience during Impact Media Summit while Maxxis is the title sponsor of Impact at the inaugural Sawtooth Dirt Fondo. Next to Specialized and Maxxis also Orbea, 7Mesh Apparel, Moots Bicycles, Swiftwick Socks and Sawtooth Brewery will participate in Impact.

“When we decided to create Impact, we envisioned an event that could serve to highlight products, and just as importantly, we wanted it to have an impact on how overarching conversations on bike industry trends and advocacy develop,” said CrankTankTM Vice President Adrian Montgomery. “We are delighted to have industry leaders Specialized and Maxxis join us in Sun Valley, because we know that they play a positive role in spreading the message of bicycle use around the world.”
The program will include organized mountain bike, e-MTB and gravel rides, and will be concluded by a People for Bikes Draft Meetup. Specialized will take a prominent role in sharing its position on e-MTB innovations at Impact. In the US the company is involved in bike and e-bike advocacy, and will use both the riding opportunities and the Draft Meetup e-MTB panel to drive the conversation of how e-bikes fit into the trail user landscape.
CrankTankTM organizer of the event was founded in 2016 by industry insiders Scott Montgomery and Adrian Montgomery.
