Shimano Reorganizes Distribution in South East Europe

ATHENS, Greece – In line with Shimano future vision aimed at optimizing the level of service to customers, the company decided to transfer all its sales, marketing and service activities in Greece and Cyprus for Shimano bike related products including Pro, Pearl Izumi, Bikefitting.com and Lazer to Eurotrade Ltd.

Shimano products have been distributed in Greece and Cyprus by Nikos Maniatopoulos S.A. since 1995. “During these 20 years the company was instrumental in establishing the Shimano brand and significantly growing its market share and awareness,” states the joined Shimano and Eurotrade press release on the transfer of partnership.

Eurotrade’s dedication

“The sole focus and absolute dedication of Eurotrade Ltd. on Shimano bicycle products and technologies guarantees the upgrade of the Shimano operation and customer experience in Greece and Cyprus” is reported in the press release.

With five sales offices and four logistics centers in Greece, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia, Eurotrade Ltd. has been one of Shimano important distributors for South East Europe since 2002, handling more than 1600 shops.

The new partnership became effective on January 1, 2017.
