SEATTLE, USA (april 14) – Component maker Full Speed Ahead (owned by Taiwan’s Tien Hsin Industries) recently completed the acquisition of aerobar maker VisionTech USA. With a focused product line composed of integrated aerobars and clip-on bars, VisionTech has built a strong reputation among elite road and multisport cyclists.
Full Speed Ahead will continue to use and sell VisionTech’s products under the VisionTech USA name. Products are currently in FSA’s Seattle warehouse and ready for shipment. Full Speed Ahead Europe and the company’s international distributors will have stock of VisionTech products in approximately 30 days.
With manufacturing facilities in Auburn, Washington, VisionTech USA was founded in 1995 by Peter Fraiman. He will join Full Speed Ahead as Product Manager for the VisionTech brand. In the world of aerobars, VisionTech’s products are recognized as having market leading strength, reliability and aerodynamics. In recent years, perhaps the company gained the most notoriety when several top riders competing in the Tour de France chose to purchase VisionTech bars for their time trial bikes. More recently the company has grown and taken the role as official supplier to Division I teams Credit Agricole and Team CSC. In addition to its activities in the Pro Peleton, VisionTech bars are also popular among elite level triathletes and multisport athletes. (JO)
