BUTTISHOLZ, Switzerland (July 18) – Although the chapter of the independent bicycle brand Villiger had been closed with the take-over by Trek in 2002, there were still some loose ends to be tied up. One of those being the Villiger premises in Buttisholz, Switzerland. Now former competitor Hostettler AG from Sursee (the Swiss Yamaha importer) has taken over ownership. A tire warehouse is the first function of the location – in the future Intercyle, the bicycle division of Hostettler (Wheeler, Bixs etcetera) will use parts for technical seminars and warehousing of their made-to-order bikes.
