BRETTEN, Germany (Sep 7) – On August 31,German high-end producer Votec had to ask for insolvency again. Receiver is Harald Kroth from Achern. According to Votec’s marketing manager Oliver Ernst “this season took its toll”. The Votec staff of ten people was laid off.
Chances for a new start are slim: at the end of 2001 Votec founders Voitl/Steiner had to ask for insolvency. Votec IBI under Andreas Engmann took over and asked for insolvency in 2003. Now shareholder and GM Michael Kolb had to give up. According to rumours on Eurobike, one of the Votec founders is now interested in buying the trademarks. (JB)
