As a youngster, designer Paul Smith wanted to be a professional racing cyclist. When a cycling accident terminated this dream at age 17, he became a fashion designer. Now the design guru returns to the track with a range of funked up Mercian cycles.
 
You’ll be able to jump into the hand-crafted saddle of a Paul Smith for Mercian bike from November. The chic cycles will be available in nine custom-made frames and two styles – Mercian Tour for the city and countryside and Mercian Track for road training and track racing.
