RST Integrates Cable Route for Lighting

The Spirit is RST’s first suspension fork with integrated cable routing, making it suitable for City and Trekking bicycles with a hub dynamo. The hidden cable design gives the fork a clean look and maximizes the durability of the lighting system of the bike. The 50 millimetre travel fork has a hydraulic cartridge and can be mounted with disc or V-brakes.

RST’s next step in the innovation of the sports suspension fork is the implementation of the wireless remote damping control. This system allows the rider to adjust the damping performance more precisely and rapidly, from a wireless remote unit mounted on the handlebar.

Both the rechargeable battery and low-power indicator help prevent the rider from experiencing power supply problems. The battery in the fork is charged via a mini-USB connection on the crown of the fork.

For model year 2012 RST expects to introduce fully automatic suspension forks. Electronic sensors will make this system adapt itself to the terrain and provide the best possible damping.
