KTMs GM Josef Spiesberger Retires

MATTIGHOFEN, Austria – After being for more than 30 years ‘the face of KTM’, industry vet and GM Josef Spiesberger (photo) left the day to day business for medical reasons. KTM Fahrrad owner Carol Urkauf-Chen thanked Spiesberger for his longtime engagement guiding the Austrian market leader to some bad and currently many good times.

Chen promised a large farewell party as soon as Spiesberger recovers. The retirement of Spiesberger spurs a management restructuring. Another longtime KTM manager – director of R&D and sourcing Franz Leingartner – succeeds Spiesberger.

Moreover Chen appointed marketing manager Stefan Limbrunner sales & marketing manager. Florian Siegesleitner now leads the export business. Benjamin Rudelstorfer is coordinating sales to Germany.
