Dahon, the world leader in folding bicycles, concluded its 5th annual international conference last month in Sofia, Bulgaria where over 60 distribution partners convened for an informative week of company and product updates and an exclusive tour of Maxcom, Dahon’s new European production facility in Plovdiv.

SOFIA, Bulgaria – Dahon, the world leader in folding bicycles, concluded its 5th annual international conference last month in Sofia, Bulgaria where over 60 distribution partners convened for an informative week of company and product updates and an exclusive tour of Maxcom, Dahon’s new European production facility in Plovdiv.

The company’s annual conference provided an opportunity for Dahon and its partners to strengthen new and existing relationships as well as share new experiences and opportunities. Participants were updated on sales and ordering, marketing strategies and supplier-retailer interaction and took part in the discussion of upcoming initiatives and improvements.

ISO 9001:2008-certified facility

The decision to host the conference in Sofia was in large part due to the company’s new production facility in the Balkan country. In conclusion of the conference, Dahon invited its distributors to tour the ISO 9001:2008-certified facility. Distributors were welcomed by Maxim Mitkov, President and founder of Maxcom, as well as several staff members before seeing the facility’s impressive showroom and front offices.

Guests were then given a personal tour of the full-scale production process as well as an opportunity to test ride the 2013 Dahon product range on site. Distributors were largely impressed with the facility’s state-of-the-art machining technology, modern quality inspection equipment and Maxcom’s dedicated, on-site personnel.

For the betterment of the brand

Dr. David Hon, founder and CEO, said, “I am very pleased with the outcome of this year’s event. It was very successful in terms of bringing everyone’s ideas and suggestions together for the betterment of the brand and having the opportunity to personally meet with our partners.”
