“The brand new 8-speed internal gear hub is the perfect combination of German engineering and Taiwanese production knowledge”, states SRAM in a press release.

‘Responsible lead times’
“To meet our quality standards we have declined some early OEM business to assure delivering on product promise and quality. Our Asian manufacturing location allows us responsible lead times to deliver our products as fast as possible.”

The new SRAM G8 features even gear spacing, paired with fast, responsive shifts, through Direct Shift making a serious alternative to a traditional derailleur system. The G8 is safely contained and protected inside an outer housing, making the system robust and free of maintenance. The SRAM G8 is ideal for everyday riding and all-weather conditions.

SRAM claims that the Smart Coasterbrake Technology (SCT) ensures high safety when braking with faster and more sensitive response, and improved brake modulation thanks to reduced play.
