Kalkhoff S-Pedelec for German Chancellor Merkel
CLOPPENBURG, Germany – Derby Cycle donated a Kalkhoff speed pedelec to the German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel during her visit to Derby Cycle’s home town Cloppenburg.
Merkel, who visited Cloppenburg last weekend as part of her election campaign will be the first high ranking politician to attend a German bicycle trade fair. On Wednesday August 28 she will officially open the Eurobike 2013.
The e-bike was donated for the use at the German government premises in Berlin and around the chancellery office. District Administrator Hans Eveslage and the Secretary of Labor, Ursula von der Leyen handed to Kalkhoff s-pedelc to Ms Merkel in the presence of 2,500 visitors.
The new chancellery office e-bike is a 2014 Kalkhoff Agattu Impulse 8 HS. It features the Impulse 2.0 drive, Derby Cycle’s in house developed e-bike system which was presented early August at the Derby Cycle dealer shows.
