LUDHIANA, India (26 February) – AGG Exports, an export company of Satya industries, makers of bicycle components, recently bought CNC machinery at the Sturmey-Archer liquidation sales. The Indian buyer intends to use them to make alloy hubs that should meet European and American standards for precision so that they can be sold to western OEM’s using automated wheel-building machinery. AGG intends to do an initial run of 25,000 hubs per month, and increase that figure to 100,000 by the end of the year. AGG exports mainly to Germany, the Netherlands, Mexico and Brazil. (SH)
