Accell Group’s CEO Officially Appointed

HEERENVEEN, the Netherlands – He was already introduced on 18 July as the new CEO of Accell Group by the company’s Supervisory Board. Last Friday the shareholders gathered for an extraordinary general meeting and agreed upon Ton Anbeek’s appointment.

As CEO of Accell Group, Ton Anbeek will be responsible for the implementation of the strategy Accell Group announced earlier this year. “He is experienced in the field of marketing, sales, retail and omni-channel e-commerce,” stated Ab Pasman, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Accell Group. “Combined with his personal integrity and leadership style make him very suitable to head Accell Group.”

Ton Anbeek (1962) studied Business Administration at Rotterdam’s Erasmus University and Organizational Psychology at Utrecht University. He started his professional career in 1987 at Unilever, where he held various positions in marketing and sales at various operating companies in the Netherlands and abroad. In early 2010, Ton Anbeek was appointed CEO of Beter Bed Holding N.V.

As of 1 November 2017, the Board of Directors will consist of four members: Ton Anbeek (CEO), Hielke Sybesma (CFO), Jeroen Snijders Blok (COO) and Jeroen Both (CSCO).

Supervisory Board member stepping down

During the general meeting of shareholders it was announced that Mr. Aad Kuiper, member of the Supervisory Board, will step down with immediate effect. Aad Kuiper can no longer combine the increased intensity of his work for Accell Group with his responsibilities at Hunter Douglas, and therefore ceases his duties as a member of the Supervisory Board with immediate effect. Currently the Supervisory Board consist of three members: chairman Ab Pasman, vice-president Jan van den Belt and member Peter Ernsting.
