FSA Launches First Hydraulic and Disc Brakes

Sales & Trends

BUSNAGO, Italy – Bicycle parts manufacturer Full Speed Ahead entered a new component category with the introduction of its first hydraulic XC race and trail disc brakes.

FSA Launches First Hydraulic and Disc Brakes
FSA’s new brakes feature very light magnesium castings, carbon composite levers, and titanium hardware.

Both models use tool-free stroke and reach adjustability, while they can be set-up, on-the-fly for a wide range of responsiveness and hand sizes. To further enhance the usability the brakes are offered with industry first front and rear specific hoses.

According to FSA this results in exceptionally balanced braking performance. The flip flop lever has an integrated asymmetrical reservoir making them very compact on the handlebar and easy to bleed.

The brakes feature very light magnesium castings, carbon composite levers, and titanium hardware, which results in individual wheel weights of around 300 gram.

The K-Force and the Afterburner will be available in Q1 2014 through FSA and authorized distributors and dealers. The Global Launch will take place during both Eurobike and Interbike.
