With aerodynamics taking centre stage on the road, 3T’s Aeronova handlebar assists riders as they seek to cut the wind. And the company’s RIGID fork is made to accommodate the 29-inch wheels that are increasingly popular among mountain bikers. Based in Brembate, near Venice, 3T used design-and-build software and advanced product testing – part of the company’s Intelligent Product Lifecycle platform – to develop the new components.

With a flattened top section, the Aeronova appears as an airfoil that is both UCI compliant and permits internal routing of manual or electrontic cables. The 127mm drop sections mirror the compact design of the company’s Ergonova road bars, where outward flaring provides wrist clearance and makes for narrower span at the hoods. The Aeronova is available in Pro, Team, Stealth and LTD versions and finished in gloss black with 3T’s new ‘Road’ brand graphics.

The all-carbon Rigid fork features a tapered 1-1/8 in. to 1-1/2 in. steerer tube and is aimed at offroad racers who favor speed and handling. Post mounts support brake rotors of up to 180mm, while the width allows for tires of up to 2.5 in. The left blade is reinforced to counteract braking stresses and has a recessed channel to house the brake hose. A 15mm thru-axle. and a (glue-in) star-nut fork assembly kit complete a package that is available in Team and Stealth versions with red graphics.
