2014 Dahon Green Award Enters Final Round
The €10,000 “Green Award” launched in August of 2013 by Dahon, to reward cyclists reducing their CO2 footprint, is entering its final phase.
An expert committee set up by Dahon will announce the winners August 15, 2014. The outright winner will be invited to Friedrichshafen, with the official award ceremony taking place on the second day of the trade show (August 28, 2014) at Dahon booth (A4–405).
“The intention behind our initiative is that we, as a responsible and environmentally aware company, should do everything we can to change mobility behavior,” states Dahon’s founder and CEO Dr. David T. Hon. “The prize is also intended to inspire others to take the step forward to help change the environment.”
The two runners-up will each receive a folding bike from the current Dahon range: a compact 20-inch Vybe C7A for the second placed runner-up and a 24-inch Briza D8 (see photo) for third place. The competition was open for individuals, companies and associations, as well as municipal and local authorities wishing to enter and promote their existing initiatives.
