Audi and CarbonSports Cooperate in Road Bike Project
INGOLSTADT, Germany – The Audi Sport Racing Bike, recently presented at the 85th Geneva Motor Show is the latest off-spring of the cooperation between Quattro GmbH and the CarbonSports company.
Next to the Audi e-bike the car manufacturer now extended its bicycle range with an exclusive road racer. Audi developed the road racing bike in cooperation with CarbonSports company, known of their bicycle brand Lightweight.
The limited edition of only 50 units comes with several unique features. The colour scheme is a creation of the Audi Concept Design Studio in Munich. The Selle Italia saddle is covered in Fine Nappa leather, a detail from the new Audi R8. The 790 gram frame and the wheels are made of T1000 carbon fibre, the same as used by Audi for the cockpit of the R18 e-tron quattro.
The result: a complete bike with the Audi Sport look and a total weight of only 5.8 kilogram. The Audi Sport Racing Bike is available at 17,500 euro and can be ordered via any Audi partner worldwide.
