The battery with 3Tron cells is installed in the BMZ Drive Systems in many models that will be available at bike dealers as of 2018. The new 3Tron 21700 cell offers, “60 percent more capacity while being able to use 400% more discharge current at the same time,” said Sven Bauer, Managing Director of BMZ GmbH in a Bike Europe report.

Service life of up to 12 years

The BMZ battery with 3Tron cells offers much more energy thanks to the bigger size and the stronger conductors. With suitable chargers, BMZ claims that the e-biker can recharge 80 percent of the battery in just 15 minutes.

3Tron represents the latest cell technology. By cooperating with one of the world’s leading cell manufacturers, BMZ sets standards in terms of quality. Due to its higher energy content, the battery cell will be exposed to fewer charging cycles and generates less heat. As a result, the 3Tron has a longer service life of up to twelve years.

BMZ repair service for e-bikes

As a special service, BMZ offers a repair service of the BMZ Drive Systems to bike dealers. If a battery is defective, customers have the advantage to get it repaired by BMZ for a small amount and thus save several hundred euros for a new purchase. This service ensures customer loyalty and builds trust.

BMZ sets the trend for e-bikes

Highly specialised engineers develop customer-specific innovations for e-bikes. BMZ Drive Systems offer various solutions for batteries that are integrated in the e-bike frame. Based in the southern part of Germany, BMZ Group is Europe’s leading producer of lithium-ion batteries.
