FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (11 September 2000) — According to Eurobike organizer Messe Freidrichshafen, the Eurobike Show held from 31 August to 3 September attracted 19,500 trade visitors. This is approximately the same amount of of visitors as the 1999 edition. But while the visitors came from 43 countries in 1999, this year they came from 47 countries. Noteworthy is the 24.5% increase in the number of exhibitors at Eurobike — up to 706 from 30 countries. They exhibited on 4% more floor space than last year’s show. All in all, 91 Taiwanese companies exhibited at this year’s Eurobike. The second largest group of exhibitors came from Italy (90 exhibitors), followed by Switzerland (22). Logically enough, 229 German companies exhibited in Friedrichshafen. (JW)
