Bike Motion Benelux: More Visitors

UTRECHT, the Netherlands – Bike Motion Benelux, the biggest bike show for Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg, attracted some 18,350 visitors this year. The show that closed its doors last Monday, usually attracts about 15,000 visitors each year. The new owner of the fair, VNU Exhibitions is pleased with their first Bike Motion.

“The visitors rated the show with a 7.7 and that is far above the average rate of our fairs”, says Daniël Bentveld, Bike Motion project manager. VNU Exhibitions holds high expectations for the future of their new fair. For the 2008 edition three halls in stead of two have been planned. According to the organisation a big part of the three halls has already been booked.

Despite all the efforts of the new owner as well as exhibitors to create a spectacular event, Bike Motion Benelux is above all just a show with lots of shiny bikes on display. Other successful foreign MTB and road race shows are nowadays interacting with visitors through test tracks and demo-days.

However, a remarkable visitor was at this year’s Bike Motion; Michael Rasmussen. The controversial road racer came to the show for the presentation of the new brand MOA-sport and was warm welcomed by the Dutch visitors.
