Like that even more companies from the automotive sector are stepping in the bike business. Is that related to the fact that in Europe car sales are down to an all time low? One of the very renowned names from the car sector – M1 which is in particular known as the company that tunes BMW’s – is entering the bike market. The company behind it, the Fritzmeier Group, presented today the M1 Spitzing speed pedelec World Cup Edition. It’s a 16,500 euro costing full carbon, full suspension bike capable of max speeds of 75 km/h for which it has a 850 Watt motor that delivers 120 Nm in combination with a 880Wh battery.

Huge numbers of e-bikes

What is not usual at this year’s Eurobike, but what most of the industry peers saw coming after last year’s show, is the huge numbers of e-bikes at (almost each) bike booth. One that stands out in this respect is the booth of Bulls; the ZEG brand. In fact the biggest dealer cooperative in Europe, has two stands at this year’s Eurobike as there’s also the one of Hercules. E-MTBs are a major thing in ModelYear 2015 for Bulls as it is presenting a series that have Bosch, BionX and Broze systems and that also come in speed pedelecs versions. It’s one of many.

Good atmosphere for good business

The crowded halls at the opening day of the show suggest that visitor numbers are on par with last year or even a bit up. The visitors that were in the halls weren’t hit by the downpour that started at 4 in the afternoon and got everybody soaking on the test tracks. But one hour later the rain stopped. The next day’s Eurobike 2014 should be sunny with rising temperatures. It will bring about good atmosphere for good business.
