Eurobike’s Focus Is on Drive Systems, Battery Technologies and Digital Solutions

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – In E-mobility, one innovation is quickly followed by the other. To reflect this trend, Eurobike’s Hall A1 has been labelled ‘E-mobility Solutions’. It will offer a special stage to showcase the technical advances of the 2019 model year. New mobility solutions in all possible options will be on display: almost every bicycle category is now available in an electrified version.

In addition to sport and cargo bikes, Eurobike’s focus is first and foremost on new drive systems, battery technologies and digital solutions and services.

Digitalization, connectivity, big data and fleet management have their impact on the e-bike market. “This year’s edition of Eurobike shows itself with a an all new concept,” announced Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann. From July 8 to 10, 2018, manufacturers and professionals in the global bike industry will meet in the fully booked Messe Friedrichshafen exhibition halls for the 27th edition of Eurobike. The latest innovations of some 1400 exhibitors will be on display. In addition to sport and cargo bikes, the focus is first and foremost on new drive systems, battery technologies and digital solutions and services.

Focus on digital solutions and services

“We are reacting to the strong dynamic in the global bike industry with the show concept, including the new dates,” adds Wellmann. “The doors will be open exclusively for trade visitors, giving manufacturers and importers back the original function of the Eurobike. Initially the show was about the presentation of new collections and the interaction between retail and industry.”

Eurobike Show Manager Stefan Reisinger adds: “The Eurobike 2018 is again on the future of the bike industry. It presents retailers and the industry what will be relevant in the future. The focus is exclusively on industry visitors providing additional quality and the opportunity for manufacturers, retailers and the media to get a personal picture of this rapidly changing industry.”

The third Bike Europe Conference will open the Eurobike Academy one day before the show starts. On July 7, the industry will gather to discuss the main theme of this year’s Bike Europe Conference: Behind the Scenes of Online Sales.

The 27th Eurobike is open from Sunday, July 8 to Tuesday, July 10, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Admission is limited to trade visitors and accredited journalists.  More information is available at www.eurobike-show.com.
