NEW DELHI, India (1 November)- Honda has announced plans to set up a motorcycle export base station for South Asia in Gurgaon (Haryana), near Delhi with an investment of US$ 180 million. This was announced by mr. K. Suzuki, President of Honda Motor Co. in Japan. Honda already has a twowheeler plant in Haryana mainly to supply the Indian market. The new plant will see to the assembly and logistics of twowheelers for the whole south Asian region. In due time, Honda Motors India will produce 500.000 motorized twowheelers. (SH)
